"It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them."
Proverbs 25:2

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they demonstrated their inability to entrust their life to God. They overlooked the beauty of not knowing as well as God's design of being all-knowing. Instead, they endeavored to absorb all knowledge at once in order to overcome their fear of the unknown. People who act as if they know everything are never worth listening to. They're annoying for one thing, but more significantly, that's not how knowledge works. Every solution we come upon raises new questions. So wisdom is not about reaching conclusions; rather, it is about humbly probing the never-ending, ever-expanding mystery. I don't know what my future holds, but I do know who holds it, and that realization has been a huge help in living life truthfully, with a sense of wonder and adventure.
God in his gracious wisdom gave them another chance at an adventure of discovery, by kicking them out of the garden he was giving them an opportunity to discover the wonder of life and relationship with him. He clothed them and equipped them before sending them out, demonstrating that the walk into the wild was not without guidance. All they had to do was trust in His love enough to embrace the beauty of the unknown. That is what i want for you and I, to find ourselves in a place where we celebrate the privilege of unconvering the secret principles of life one step at a time.
Lamp To My Feet And Light To My Path
If you have ever played a game or competed in anything as a child, you understand the pleasure and excitement of not knowing the conclusion of an event. You persevere in the expectation that the conclusion will be favorable even if you encounter setbacks or a few failures along the way. If you knew the end and every step leading up to it, the game or activity would be simple and dull.
This is applicable in our life; what would be the sense of living or having a relationship with God if we knew every single step and every forthcoming event? God, on the other hand, does not regard your life as a game; rather, He regards it as something he fearfully and beautifully orchestrated to reach fulfillment and completion. We are the adventurers, and he is the map. The beauty of His creation is that He implanted an individual and unique story in each and every one of us, and we frequently see glimpses of it's blueprint through the desires of our hearts, the conviction in our spirits, the discernment in our minds, and the strong urge of our will. You are not lost; you are exactly where you need to be. If your route feels hazy, ask Him for the Light He promised for your feet and the Light He intended for your path, because He who began a good work in you will see it to completion.
Philippians 1:6; “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Not Knowing Creates Curiosity
Proverbs 2:6 "For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."
Human babies have an innate curiosity and need for knowledge, according to research. However, as we get older, we begin to feel embarrassed about "not knowing." Surprisingly, the same feeling of shame sometimes makes us reliant on others to tell us what's right, without examining what they know or whether what they're saying is true. This is the reason why a lot of believers have trouble reconciling their experiences with the knowledge they have of God, questions of His goodness and His love arise simply because we have bought our understanding of Him cheaply from a second hand source and have not taken the time to get curious and seek Him for ourselves.
I will take you back to the story of creation. Eve might have approached existence with less concern if she had been curious enough to learn about her creator rather than the words of the created. My recommendation to you is to learn and comprehend your source so that you may confidently set your route. The premise of God concealing some truths or not disclosing everything to us all at once is a question of trust, not secrecy.
All Things Work Together for Your Good
If we took a moment to study what we have acquired through "not knowing," we would quickly realize that our lives have had so much more than just uncertainty or anxiety, and we should focus on these things in order to live meaningfully and without regrets. Some of the benefits of the unknown include, but are not limited to:
Emotional intelligence- the capacity to process and guide your own emotions as well as the emotions of others around you.
Self-introspection- the continuous appraisal of one's own growth, mistakes, areas for improvement, strengths, and accomplishments.
The freedom to have a vision- You are given the free will to dream and seek your heart's aspirations, to go out into the world and investigate the things that arouse your Spirit, intellect, will, and emotions.
So, become inquisitive! ask questions, make decisions, and don't assume that God's ego is so fragile that He can't handle your desire for enlightenment and knowledge. You are on your way to learning, growing, and adding value to the world around you, so embrace the Beauty of the Unknown and learn one lesson at a time.
Until next time my lovelies, stay blessed, unstressed, and adventure obsessed.
